Mainly serving in the field of refractory products for the iron and steel sector, our company offers special solutions for other industrial processes as well.
ICB LONDON Ltd has developed it's core competence as exporter of Ferro Alloys which is a major raw material input for the Steel Industry. We focus on business processes for the improvement in the quality ferro alloys and ensure the safety of the products.
Ferro phosphorus is a ferroalloy, an alloy of iron and phosphorus. It contains a high proportion of iron phosphides, Fe2P and Fe3P. Its CAS number is 8049-19-2. The usual grades contain either 18 or 25% of phosphorus. It is a gray solid material with a melting point between 1050-1100 °C. It may liberate phosphine in contact with water.
Pig iron is an intermediate product of the iron industry, also known as crude iron, which is obtained by smelting iron ore in a blast furnace. Pig iron has a very high carbon content, typically 3.8–4.7%, along with silica and other constituents of dross, which makes it very brittle and not useful directly as a material except for limited applications.
Our graphite columns are custom made and therefore totally customizable. They are specifically adapted to the specific process requirements of ultra-corrosive applications. Each graphite column is customized to best fit with existing process requirements. They consist of graphite cylindrical sections that are stacked one above the other.
Ferro silicon is produced by the reduction of silica or sand with coke in the presence of iron. Typical sources of iron are scrap iron or mill scale. Ferro silicons with silicon content up to about 15% are made in blast furnaces lined with acid fire bricks. Ferro silicons with higher silicon content are made in electric arc furnaces.
Nodular cast iron, also known as ductile iron, is a type of cast iron characterized by spherical graphite nodules in the microstructure. Due to this structure, ductile iron offers special properties, like an increase of yield strength and tensile strength, which are the key factors for the given user.
Shell molding, also known as shell mold casting or the Croning process, is a form of metal casting. Shell mold casting allows the use of both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, most commonly using cast iron, carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloys, and copper alloys.
